MY VALENTINE

B surprised me with a chocolate making class on Saturday to make our own box of chocolate! Recipe for sugar-free, all-natural chocolate below with simple ingredients you can get at the grocery store.

 

RECIPE

1/2 cup cacao butter (can be found at Whole Foods)
1/2 cup cacao powder (Whole Foods)
1/4 cup honey
chocolate mold
Toppings: almonds, coconut, vanilla, whatever you want!

1. Melt cacao butter in a heat-safe bowl by placing the bowl over a pot of simmering water and mix until butter is melted.
2. Add cacao powder to melted butter then add honey. Mix everything together until consistency is even. May have to heat up bowl again if chocolate starts to solidify. May want to taste it now to see if it’s sweet enough.
3. Either add toppings to the whole bowl now or pour chocolate into mold and add toppings to each chocolate piece.
4. Let it sit in room temperature for 15mins and then place in freezer for 1 hr. Chocolate should be solid and pop out easily when ready.
